i was watching tv at about 5-ish - channel 8.

i saw this trailer for this channel 8 show, with that ezann (ericia's sis) acting as a retard, starring fann wong too and some other actors.

of course i did NOT pay so much attention.

so i found a LIVE accoustic version of this song to post and the title had to be different from the previous one as each post has a unique web address that allows no duplication.

cos its too far away from the truth and it's unbelievable - the roles that jay (or other guy) plays in his music videos are so unreal. hate it with a vengeance.

this snow patrol video guy seemed believable to me, to say the least.

that girl doesnt know how lucky she is to have a man do that for her. saying he loves her and he needs her and miss her.

the oldest member in the band is like 23.

like Evermore. the oldest member in Evermore, Jon, is my age.

first heard of them from gen, and it was this song, and i'm like not impressed. cos no. 1, they're from the US. no.2 they sounded like any other US young alternative bands.

like i couldnt tell them apart from the calling? music wise and voice wise.

there is just no great unique thingy about them lor.

most of my fave bands are brits. or scottish. or irish - all great britain lah.

the prelude to boston is HAUNTING. voice is not too bad.

anyway, i was hooked lah.

and i fell in love when that lead singer sang.

so i like them now.

i came across this band called RAMMSTEIN at HMV couple of days ago.

HMV was airing the video at the store and induced jaw-dropping stares at the tv screen amongst many, including myself.

WHY?

because it is so dramatic & theatrical, nobody in the right mind (except CJY) wouldnt pay them any attention.

i was DEEPLY DISTURBED by the music & by the band but mostly by their antics.

GROSS. Absolute GROSS STUFF.

their music sounded satanic & demonic and the people who went for the concert, sadly belongs to a different league from mine.

they look like they're possessed. i think i look normal.

the one video that shocked me the most had to be this one. the lead singer was covered in "blood" (more like red paint) then sang with a microphone with a butcher knife attached at the bottom and roasting someone (the keyboardist) in a "pot".

HOW SICK IS THAT?

i did a google on Rammstein and went to wikipedia where i read all about them.

and came across a para that mentioned that they have a song inspired by some cannibal.

then i googled on that cannibal's name and read all about it.

spooked me to my spines can.

the guy went online to search for a willing victim to be devoured. someone actually answered that ad. OMG.

anyway story is the cannibal chopped his penis off and they both ate it. the "willing victim" actually requested the cannibal to chew the penis off but the attempts failed. anyway i cannot reiterate the story without feeling spooked.

then i realised that song was the disgusting video that i saw at HMV which is this one that i posted.

i wouldnt have tainted my blog like this but i guess i have to, in order to make a point.

wikipedia also suggested that the media chastised them for being demonically influenced and having a demonic influence on kids. especially since the people behind a certain massacre were worshippers of Rammstein.

of course they fended themselves and said its easy for the media to blame the music and ask people to find out the cause of those deaths and not question the murderer's taste in music.

then i immediately thought of Eminem. many chastised eminem for promoting homophobia with his song stan. but i love that song to bits and i think i can tell the difference between people poking fun at reality with music and carrying a joke too far.

however i cant say the same for Rammstein.

why do you have to drench yourself in red paint so they look like blood? why is the blood concentrated around your mouth? why do you have to carry that GOD DAMN MICROPHONE?

why are you dressed like a butcher? why do you have to simulate a cooking scene with your keyboardist?

kids. troubled kids might think its alright and attempt to do it.

we all know how much music can influence us.

I for one is very much influenced by music. Im sure many musicians can too.

Rammstein proclaimed that they do not wish to be politically involved blah blah blah.

then they have to stop being so outlandish.

i totally think they're sending out the wrong message with their music and everyone who adores their music are sick.

i get spooked just by listening to them sia.

absolutely disgusting.

and what is the MOST AMAZING PART?

this song is nominated for the Grammys for Best Metal Performance in 2005.

i caught the last bit of harry potter last night and heard that Gandolf-lookalike-professor said something.

because harry thought he and that demon valdemot had similarities and was worried. i mean if i & saddam had similarities, i would be worried too.

truth is saddam & me had similarities - cos we're born on the same day.

and the prof said we're all born into this world with some innate abilities that is unique to us.

so people might be similar due to alot of reasons: like being born on the same day or sharing the same horoscope, or sharing the same life sign.

what makes us different is the choices we made.

and then it made so much sense.

sometimes i need intellectual people with intellectual spoutings to make me realise that i am not such a failure after all.

which i willingly do so because i see no harm - and it's going to happen sooner or later, cos Google bought over blogger. And i wanna stop the hassle of seeing that big message of asking me to switch everytime i log in to blogger.

i finally watched it.

and it was soooo good.

a couple of the scenes are very artistically shot - like water spilling and it goes all slow-mo depicting a very fluid action. you know, over-the-top cinematography comes across as trying too hard to be artistic.

i always concentrate when i watch movies - especially movies like this where brains are required.

here i am watching to the extent where tears were at the brim of my eyes when Prince Jai (Jay Chou) watched his mum (Gong Li) drank the poisoned medication helplessly with a heart-wrenching expression & exasperated look on his face.

then people start laughing.

SO DID CJY. everytime when jay tries to cry - everybody laugh including that sickening boyfriend of mine.

then i tsk him in my irritated tone. and he can ask what.

then there was this scene where it's just damn sad so i was feeling the lump in my throat and the whole cinema giggled.

i blurted out loud: what's so funny?

THE SHOW IS A TRAGIC DRAMA WITH INCESTOUS AFFAIRS AND TWISTED DESTINIES.

there are shows where there is a light moment in a serious drama.

THIS IS NOT THE SHOW!

the whole audience. the entire cinema upset the atmosphere and totally disrupted an otherwise enjoyable movie.

arrgh - after the show, CJY and i of course resumed to holding hands. I was just so pissed off during the show and totally irritated by his stupid action.

he said he thought jay looked funny while trying to cry.

when i first saw the trailer on TV mobile, i went "CAN JAY CHOU ACT"?

after the movie, maybe he can't but can you?

I am not a fan of Jay Chou - don't listen to Chinese songs nowadays and all along i've always thought he's this cheesy singer with cheesy MTVs & can't sing live with a whole bunch of young hormones-raging teenager fans.

i totally was disgusted with him in Initial D - fuckin cannot act in that show lah.

i went to watch Curse of the Golden Flower with an impartial mind and i must say i am impressed.

if i can be objective about it, i don't understand why that whole cinema can't?
