TEN YEARS. One freaking decade.
In 1998, Travis came to Singapore on a double bill with Coldplay where they weren't "quite" famous yet with their debut PARACHUTES album.
That same year, I'd bought tix to Robbie Williams - not cheap, mind you and I was a poor student.
So i decided to give that concert a miss. Because I wasn't that much of a Coldplay fan yet even though i'm quite a big Travis fan.
And yes, to your surprise?? =D
I was a Travis fan first then a Coldplay fan. It appears that i'm a bigger Coldplay fan because i've just been obsessed with them cos their music has touched me so much. In more ways than travis has.
I thought i'll never have a chance to catch Travis unless i struck lottery and can travel to Scotland or England.
But SingFest made it happen. =)
And there's MR AZ. I don't have to reiterate how in love I am with him.

SOOO LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!!!

I dreamt of Sea Sea today
I saw her in the bathroom and i said hello.
She's in a small tub full of water and soap.
And she started kicking and digging as if she's bathing herself.
Impossible though if sea sea were still alive - she hates baths!
SO CUTE.
and she was tiny. like when she was one month or two months old.
maybe she's in a new place now.
with new owners.
viva la vida.

Viva La Vida
You should've known this post is coming.
Viva La Vida. 4th Album from Coldplay.
Hated it the first time i heard it.
so i took a one week hiatus.
and the second time i played it, which was like a while ago.
I'M SO IN LOVE WITH IT.
CAN'T STOP LOOPING ON MY REALPLAYER AT WORK.

they played a free show at some rockerfella plaza in NY. caused massive jams on both sides of the roads.
I WISHED I WAS THERE.
cos i still haven't heard trouble.
:( will i still have a chance?

Blue Flashing Lights - Travis
I am a big fan of Travis.
I think many people don't know. The closer ones do i think. But then that'd only be chua joon yuan. hahaha
I actually fell in love with Fran Healy long before i did for Chris Martin.
I was a Travis fan first before Coldplay. Yes. But then Chris Martin just blew me away when a rush of the blood to the head was launched.
I was very gutted and am still super duper gutted even till this day. That i missed the concert of Travis & Coldplay in 99? 2001? Can't remember.
I wasnt a coldplay fan then and i had already bought tix to the robbie williams show and didnt have enough to go watch Travis & Coldplay.
I'm ashamed to even talk about it now.
Nonetheless, the album that made me love Travis is THE MAN WHO. which actually came from a book called the man who mistook his wife for a hat. very funny title :)
I am still listening to the album today - which i bought a good 8 years ago. i bought it when i was 16 - accompanied me through the days after O levels.
So why am i talkin about it now????
because i had a discovery yesterday. it's year 2008 now.
I discovered there was a hidden track on the album.
Slide Show - the last song on the album would roll and continue to play after it ended.
at about 3 mins after the song ended - a new song came out.
the album was on my playlist which i play when i'm working and the song emerged.
TO MY SHOCK.
not a big fan of the song but it kinda taught me something.
sometimes we just don't pay enough attention to the things we already have.
aren't we all guilty of that sometimes?

true or false?
u decide.
Girls can wear jeans
And cut their hair short
Wear shirts and boots
'Cause it's OK to be a boy
But for a boy to look like
a girl is degrading
'Cause you think that being
a girl is degrading
-- a quote by Madonna who quotes Ian McEwan.

Absolutely heart-wrenching
My heart goes out to this woMAN - skye "surrendered wife" lamont.
how pathetic. but i wish her all the best nonethless in true sisterhood spirit.
don't be shocked when you read the article below: or would you?
**************************
Skye Lamont is, in her own words, a "surrendered wife".
The key to the mother-of-three's healthy, happy marriage, she says, is always letting her husband Frank be the boss.
Frank, 43, "has all the power and makes all the decisions", Skye says with pride. "I'm happy to do whatever he wants!"
But it wasn't always like that between the couple. Skye, 34, once a high-flying career woman with her own business consultancy, says she used to be far more assertive with Frank. Now she much prefers being a submissive housewife.
"These days I'd much rather iron the trousers than wear them," she insists.
The busy mum — whose day is based around housework and caring for her three kids aged seven, two and eight months, whom she home schools — credits her new submissive outlook to controversial bestseller The Surrendered Wife, by American author Laura Doyle. This book tells women they should put men in charge, never nag, and let them feel like alpha males.
Skye found the book so inspiring she has even set up her own "surrendered circle", where women can discuss how to do even more for their men and make them feel more powerful and dominant.
Like many of the book's other disciples, Skye now has "no idea" how much money she and her husband have. "I have handed all of our financial matters over to Frank. He is the breadwinner. I am the homemaker," she says. "He has all the power. He buys what we need and gives me pocket money."
And she swears the arrangement works wonderfully. "I've never been happier!"
Frank says that now his wife has handed over control of everything in their life to him, she is much more feminine and their sex life has never been better.
"She wears make-up, takes real good care of herself and leaps into my arms when I come home each day," he says. "She looks after me properly, attends to my every whim and really listens to what I say.
"She loves that I'm in charge and that she doesn't have to worry about making any decisions. She knows it's all taken care of, and I love being the boss of the house…"

very cute
i use RealPlayer to listen to music at work.
because i listen to online radio - Live365.com
A myriad of genres to fit every eclectic taste.
recently did an upgrade of the player, and look at that!
That is not an animation - well it technically & literally is.
but it's the visualisation of real player.
no more boring circles, squares, trapezoids and what not.
the sheep has a name and it's annabelle.
and you can change her costume and sometimes the moon comes out.
sometimes the birds accompany her.
DAMN DAMN CUTE.
