SingFest
It was a glorious day.
Not only because it is 8 Aug - Faye Wong's birthday - it was also my nation's birthday eve. And Singapore witnessed her first major music festival - 16 international acts in two days.
Well i only saw a fraction of that 16 cos i was only present on the 8th - but it's good enough :D
MORE THAN ENOUGH.
Sugar Ray~!
After 7 years! OMG.
Not sure if you knew, but they were supposed to come in 2000. Then they cancelled their gig amidst terrorism fears. And no news since!
Not until now :)
Finally. I almost cried when they sang Falls Apart. Not because it's touching but because i couldnt believe my ears that im listening to the song.
Couldnt believe my eyes that MARK McGRATH is right in front, jumping and singing and dancing!
He looks and sounds fantastic, by the way.
Well, he's the highlight for me. Then i've plenty of pleasant surprises...
CYNDI LAUPER - fantastic! She sounds exactly as she does a decade ago. And so energetic.
She wore a wig out before ripping her wig off to reveal her short, cropped absinthe hair.
She asked the crowd: What's the colour of my hair?
CROWD: mumbles mumbles....
CYNDI: Absinthe!
hahahhaha - it sounded absent - then i turned to my bf who went with me, and said ABSINTHE.
i hated shaggy by the way. he did jam with cyndi lauper which was great though.
but i hated shaggy's performance. so vile and so obscene.
robbie williams can do the exact crotch-thrusting thing and looked incredibly sexy.
pleasant surprise NUMERO DUO: EYE CANDY TWINS!
was very tempted to record a performance by the UK's hottest DJs but needed to save it for sugar ray & pet shop boys.
my battery life was struggling!
Eye Candy Twins totally rocked it - they spinned the decks in between sets to keep the crowd entertained while they get their beer, food and went to the toilet while waiting for the next act. Fantastic electrico, house music - lots of energy and not to say the least, they are really quite hot.
They are gonna spin Aug 17 at Bar CoCoon @ Clarke Quay - BE THERE!
And lastly, pet shop boys - just beyond cool.
the pyrotechnics, the dancers, that voice!
i recorded more videos of pet shop boys than i have of sugar ray.
somehow when people asked me how was the concert i've been to, i find it really hard and always struggled to describe to them what amazing things i saw but never really succeeded in doing so.
because there is no words to describe how i feel, really. i could manage a few "it was soooo good" but it doesnt really cut it, does it?
videos are really hard to upload cos it takes hours to do it on youtube. pictures i hope tells half the story. :D

this probably summarises what the both of us were doing there. i was there for concerts. he was there for a picnic.
i refrained from drinking too much water - and there were plenty of beer - which i consciously abstained from it too. BEER MAKES U GO TO THE TOILET TWICE AS MUCH AS WATER DOES. bear in mind, kids.
I didnt wanna go to the toilet there cos public toilets at music fests suck - and u didnt have to go to one to know.
CJY bot like so much food - he even bot ICE KACANG! hahahhahah~
Anyways that was totally random - here goes the real stuff:

so lazy to upload more photos because blogger only allows us to upload one at a time.
what a retard.
i've got more photos on my facebook - add me if you're on & join if you're not :)
