Dreams Call out to Me

"The universe is dead" it's what you always said
I'm trying to understand, what's going through your head
Dreams call out to me, I follow where they lead
I'll go wherever you go

The shining of the day, reflect it in your way
The leaves from the trees, they're from a single seed
I try to turn the tide, the questions in my mind
And it's a struggle I know

Take me wherever you go
Bring me back again and don't let me fall
I'm not waiting for the end of it all
The turning of the tide, falling in behind

Pretending not to find, the questions in my mind
The shining of the day, the old familiar way
Follow the road where it leads
And all the way we will sing

For the winter, for the summer
For the ocean, and for the river
For the question, for the answer
For the gift, and for the giver
For the life, and for the liver
For the night, and for the day

EVERMORE.

Artist of The Month for December.

Born in Australia then settled in New Zealand and then based in Australia (Sydney) again.

They were nominated for the ARIAS (Australian equivalent of the Grammys) so technically they are considered Australian.

They are a fantastic band comprised of Jon Hume (Frontman & Guitarist), Peter Hume (Bassist & Keyboardist) and Dann Hume (Drummer).

Can you believe it if i say they are not a day older than 21 years old?

Jon is 21.

Peter is 19.

Dann is 17.

My fuckin god.

Take a listen at Dreams - their debut album and you'll be overwhelmed (like me) at the depth of their lyrics and the music that they write because their music is fantastic.

I was first drawn to their song COME TO NOTHING (heard it on TV) and then it was FOR ONE DAY. Then i heard IT'S TOO LATE when i hear them sing it live on TV on the ARIAS. I was jus so drawn into it and i visited their website.

www.evermoreband.com

You see, this website streams the entire of the DREAMS album and i just listened to them all day long. I cant listen to anything else.

This song has got to be MY song of the moment.

Give it a go - i'm pretty sure you love it just as i did.

Twisted Logic

By the way, I have forgotten to introduce Coldplay's latest album - X&Y.

HOW CAN I NOT?

But i have to pick ONE song to introduce, don't i?

I realised i can't. I simply can't just pick ONE song. NO fuckin way.

Reason(s):
Different songs serve different meanings to me and i listened to them at different phases of my life.

Of course, FIX YOU - first single of X&Y - is goin to be as big as The Scientist - i know.

I will pick two instead.

Swallowed in the Sea

and

Twisted Logic

**********************************

Right now - i'm currently playing Twisted Logic 50% of the time - 49% of the time i'm playing December's Artist of the Month (which i will divulge only in due time - i know u cant wait) and 1% of the time i'm taking a leak.

Here you go: Twisted Logic

Sunlight opened up my eyes
To see for the first time it opened them up
And tonight rivers will run dry
Not for the first time rivers will run

Hundreds of years in the future
There could be computers looking for life on Earth
Don't fight for the wrong side
Say what you feel like
Say how you feel

You go backwards but then you go forwards again
You go backwards but then you go

Created then drilled and invaded
If somebody made it someone will mess it up
And you are not wrong to
Ask who does this belong to
It belongs to all of us

You go backwards but then you go forwards again
You go backwards but then you go forwards
You go backwards but then you go forwards again
You go backwards but then you go forwards

**********************************

Is all of this rush of information too much? Haha...

I hope you enjoy this song as much as i do - and give Swallowed in the Sea a go.

I'm pretty sure you'll like it as much as i do.

I can't wait for December to come (which isn't too far away).

And this post is also a reason for me to satisfy Alson's request of seeing more pictures.

Amsterdam

Come on, my star is fading
And I swerve out of control
If i, if I'd only waited
I'd not be stuck here in this hole

Come here my star is fading
And I swerve out of control
And I swear I waited and waited
I've got to get out of this hole

But time is on your side
Its on your side now

Not pushing you down and all around
It's no cause for concern

Come on, oh my star is fading
And I see no chance of release
And I know I'm dead on the surface
But I am screaming underneath

And time is on your side
It's on your side now
Not pushing you down
And all around, no

It's no cause for concern
Stuck on the end of this ball and chain

And I'm on my way back down again
Stood on a bridge, tied to the noose

Sick to the stomach
You can say what you mean
But it won't change a thing
I'm sick of the secrets

Stood on the edge, tied to a noose
You came along
and you cut me loose
You came along
and you cut me loose
You came along
and you cut me loose.

This is the next song i am introducing all of you on November's Artist of the Month.

None of those - Scientist, In My Place, Yellow, Clocks - those are mainstream-ised by radio.

I am not saying mainstream is not good - i am saying the radio plays radio-friendly songs and sometimes (or should i say most of the time) omit FANTASTIC songs with an enormous amount of meaning and depth that could rival against those radio-friendly songs embraced by BOTH Coldplay and Non-Coldplay fans.

This song is the last on the list of Coldplay's 2nd album - A Rush of Blood to the Head.

Amsterdam features Chris Martin's haunting piano tunes that made melancholic heart wrenching songs the new black.

You can't get over it. And you can't get enough. Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I hope i'm doing an OK job at promoting fantastic music.

Of cos pple can say "fantastic is subjective" - that's what i always say.

I hope one day the world can live as one (Imagine - John Lennon) and join me in my journey of enlightenment to fantastic music.

Parting Note:
Exams are finally over!! Actually over for a week liao - this post was written on the final day of my exams but i've been having too much fun to finish it.

What's new?

Anyways, to accede mr alson's request of pictures - i will do a parting shot. Too bad, can only do one. The reason why i do not want to upload pictures is because i have nothing to blog about them?

The PURPOSE of this blog is for my ranting - cos i got FUCKIN ALOT of opinions on everything on earth. Im such a stupid idiot really - irritating everybody around me with my fuckin opinions.
Im sure my boss (Jayen) and mel can attest to it. Even Lawrence. Image hosted by Photobucket.com

And sometimes i just seem to find a equally intellectual person to share my opinions with.

Therefore this blog.

Therefore - my blog DOES NOT detail everyday happenings of my life. And i DO NOT want it to EVER go there.

Alot of people out there likes to share their life with everybody showing everybody the things they buy from shopping, their clubbin sessions (i wonder how much they club) etc.

Well, like what my FIRST ENTRY suggested, i dont need to let people judge how cool i am based on the things i say on my blog.

So i will not dilute the identity of this blog - but will try my best to accede to people's requests.

Reasonable and intelligent ones of course. Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Anyways, here it is!!! my fringe is TOO FUCKIN long - i had to pin it up. I need money to watch coldplay. i need money to cut hair.
