Guys, im finally back. Finally!! Finally! And im so glad........ :)
My official last entry was on Valentines Day & i'd intended to do an update on my last nite in SG before i flew to Brisbane for the very exciting 1.5 years of my life. :)
BUT...........heaven knows. I've got so many last minute stuff to do & pack! Anyway, i flew to Brisbane on 17th Feb (Thurs) & my last nite in SG was spent amongst my dear Mr Chua & 2 frens. Jus leave out the details on me & Mr Chua, i met Karin (my perennial clubbing kaki) & Zhiwei (a new fren whom i met thru Karin) and we went Wala Wala. It was GREAT!!! Suddenly i actually miss Singapore (to think that came out from me, its amazing, isnt it?). Maybe i wont miss Singapore so much once i moved to Brisbane City next year.
For those of you who didnt know, im in an ulu town called Ipswich and i've seen nothing like that before. It's just countryside. The buses serving the suburbs (where i live) does not have a bell, so you gotta holler to the driver. Talk about culture shock.
Buses come every hour, even if they serve your school routes and trains follow a time-table (always late nv early). So in turn, the buses also come late & sometimes you miss the bus because of the late train.
From the place i come from, Singapore has an excellent means of public transport. You complain about waiting 10mins for the train to go to school or to work? Screw you lah, Singaporeans dont know how lucky they are.
People do grocery shopping alot here, bcos there isnt any hawker food or food court that serves chicken rice @ $3 a plate (or $3.50 if i wanted extra egg). Basically you cook your food. I know how to cook...stuff like Fried rice, fried noodles, pasta...french toast? Hmmm....but its like when you have to cook for every single day for every single meal, you sometimes run out of ideas. Which is why, recipe books are so cool. I forgot to bring mine over (i actually bought two from Borders in SG? I forgot to bring them over...damn!)
This post shall maintain the crux & backbone of this blog. That is, to detail none of the happenings around me and will continue to feature concentrated entries of my thoughts & views on things happening around me. (Note: Not whats happening around me.)
Talk about thinking critically!
School has officially started last week when the tutorials started. There are alot of participation & discussion going on in class where the tutor will just throw a scenario or a topic for discussion & gets the whole class to discuss what they think about it.
I havent been able to participate because i havent done enough readings. Talking about readings...i've got tonnes of readings to do on top of so many things on the top of my teeny weeny little head that looks like it's over-eaten.

For those of you who dont already know, i've decided to get a god-damn car. I live in the suburbs & thats pretty far from school. If you are following, i did mention that the public transport sucks to the core here. I was late for my first day of school for a good half an hour. Only to realise that the tutor for that class is a notorious racist son of a bitch.
And whats the best thing that happened? I was late for that same class a week after. The bus was full (not too full but it sure was packed) and the bus driver said : "You guys gotta wait for the next bus..." And he threw some other people standing on the bus down.
WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!In this country, YOU HAVE GOT NO FUCKING RIGHT TO TELL PEOPLE TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT BUS?!

YOU CANT AFFORD THAT KIND OF LUXURY THAT S'POREAN BUS DRIVERS HAVE TO TELL PEOPLE TO WAIT FOR THE NEXT BUS!

My gawd, i cant believe what i was hearing. Do you even get what i mean?
This particular bus was scheduled to come at 9.33am & i think it came at 9.35 or 9.40am. The next bus is in half an hour. Basically, if i missed this bus, i'll be late for class.
Good..so i was late, twice in a roll for the same bus. And i cant get to the stop earlier cos i take a train to that bus stop? And my train comes only every hour. The answer is pretty obvious isnt it, get a goddamn car.
im excited at the same time frustrated at getting one, so much to consider! I'll definitely appreciate some advice. :)
On a sidenote, i've been here for almost a month and i've shifted 3 times. But i've settled down & really love my new home. I'll take some pictures of it when i get it nicely done up.

The past few weeks have been crazy...and the only thing keeping me sane is that i get to see Mr Chua soon. hahahaha!!! Ya i know!!! Exciting isnt it??
Tata guys...
Parting shot?? Yep....this was taken in Queen Street - Brisbane city. Note, my surrounding areas (Ipswich) looks nothing of the sort in case u think Ipswich is something like that. Well, not that you can see much from the picture anyway.. haha
